On Monday 15th December 2025, during the On the Alex James Drive Time Show, the song ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble’ by PJ & Duncan was scheduled to be played after the hour opener. However, due to an error in our source, check and storage procedures, an offensive and inappropriate track by PJ by PPCocaine was mistakenly played instead.

The error occurred because our source provided a link to the track ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble’ by PJ & Duncan. The downloading tool misidentified the file and as it was not checked it was broadcast.

We understand how this may have offended and affected listeners. We will be taking some time to resolve the issues and create a cleaner, more polished experience. All further programming this week has been cancelled to focus on the issue at hand.

We will begin by reviewing our current music library of 2,500 tracks. This will involve categorising the appropriate songs from those unsuitable for broadcast including live performances, explicit lyrics, covers and remixes. Once this is complete, we will restructure the library by creating an editorial system for presenters to use. This will enhance their work and provide a better listening experience. We will then create eight to ten rotations to ensure a diverse and varied listening experience while maintaining our core focus on playing the most popular songs from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. We will also implement a checking process before any track is added to the Music Library and on air to ensure it complies with our music regulations.

These changes enhance your listening experience on Radio Hants. You will not hear live performances unusual remixes or random artists covering songs or film cuts. Instead, you will enjoy a fresh rotation of the biggest hits from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, offering a wider variety of music.
